Sunshine Coast Property
The Sunshine Coast's is an almost forgotten gem. Originally settled for
grazing purposes, in 1867 the area became prominent when James Nash discovered
gold. At the time Queensland was suffering from a severe economic depression and
the discovery probably saved the colony from bankruptcy. This event is still
celebrated today in the Gympie Gold Rush Festival, held annually from
the 8-18th of October. Gold mining still plays a role in the area's
fortunes, along with agriculture (dairy predominantly), timber and tourism. In
recent years that has been an influx of small industries, and the Army base has
contributed to the area's growth. Housing construction for residential
investment and home owners has been strong since 2000.
We continue to build and acquire here, as the land prices are
attractive, and the industrial base is growing. We are in the process of
developing an exclusive cul-de-sac in an exquisite new estate in Monkland, with
panoramic views of the scenic “Tin Can Bay” road. We currently have 2 new
executive homes available, but more are due soon.
